1、选D。/ Liocoln was elected president of the United States for the second time。 简单地说,当职务或头衔是“唯一”的时候,不加冠词;否则,一般加冠词,如: they elected him president of the society。
(他们选他当协会主席) they elected him a deputy to the Congress。 At At the good news they began to sing and dance。
   at 在这是:on account of,because of(根据;因为) 如:rejoice at a victory。 Hearing the good news,they began to sing and dance。
3、 oke out Fighting between them broke out on July 4th。 当“发生”讲时: a) take place, come about 和occur的意思是一样的,且都是不及物动词。
     b) happen 的意思是to take place or occur by chance(偶然发生),同样是不及物动词。 所以 be happened,be taken place 的用法都是不对的。
World War II broke out in 1939。
Hostilities have broken out between the two countries。 ) 4、选 r;to Happily for Lincoln, his second mother was kind to him。

   be kind to:对。。。 。。 。

1.B,应该是be ellected to be ...to be =as 2.?? 3.D ,take place不能用做被动,这类指爆发的词都不能用于被动~C应改为come out A把was去掉,B用took place,这样改才是对的 4.C,固定用法~对待某人用to
