这两个修饰语是同义，都作“许多”讲，相当于 a greatmany或 a great deal的意思，只是 heaps of多少含有“偶然”的意思，所以不一定完全通用
例如：lots of trouble；lots of money；etc．
heaps of food；heaps of good times；etc．
There were lots of people．有许多人。 （不说…heaps ofpeople）
