我和妻子来到加拿大西部一个名叫奥克托克斯的荒凉小镇。
这里虽然十分偏僻，天气寒冷；但是我们感觉到：这里有的是温暖、友谊和乐观。My wife and I came to a brumal and small town named 奥克托克斯 in the west of Canada。
Although it was very out-of-the-way with cold weather,we truly felt there were of warm,friendly and optimic。

一个寒冷的冬日之夜，有个农民打电话来说，婴儿正在发高烧。虽然车里有暖气，他还是不敢冒险带婴儿上路，他请我上门去给他的婴儿治病。In a chill winter night,I got a peasant's call which past me his bad news,his infant with hyperpyrexia。
He beg me make a spot seeing to the baby。He couldn't dare to risk at sending it to me although heating in his truck。
他的农场在15公里外，虽然他告诉了我两次行走路线，我还是弄不清楚。Hia farm was 15 kms far from my home。I still confused about his route after he told me twice。

Furthermore,I told him how to nurse and how to dose。 当我收拾药箱的时候，我心里在想，那么复杂的乡村夜路，我怎能认得回去的路呢？After I finished my service,I had to plan how to identify my way to home on these so complicated countryroads,especially in the dark night。
这时，外面已经下起了大雪。车在路上开了一会儿，我就发现我的恐惧和忧虑是多余的。It snowed heavily at that time。After a short time driving,I found my unnecessary dread and worry。
沿途的灯依然亮着，仿佛在向我致意，人们用他们的灯光送我回家。我的汽车每驶过一家，灯光随后就熄灭，而前面的灯光还闪亮着，在等待着我。The lamps still lighted as if they were greeting to me。
The people were saying good bye with me by their lamplights。Once my car past by a house,the lightings were black out。
But other sunshine still brighten my returning way ahead and my mind。They were waiting for me。。。
