apologetic是“表示歉意的”的意思;原谅我在这里用了product,因为不太清楚你原来想要表达的是什么意思,如果只是普通货物,用product也没有问题。
一般来说,信件是用第三人称作主语越显得礼貌,既然是道歉信,就应该有礼貌和使用完整句子(不要省略和非正式用词),用过去式显得谦逊。
另外,“做不成生意”的说法翻译到英文里面会很费解。一方面你道歉说下个月可以发货(就表示生意可以继续),另一方面却说“生意做不成”,所以我改译为“无法达到你的要求”。to have to fail to meet your request这部分本人感觉有点累赘,但是比较好地表达了“有心无力”的感觉,当然,改成about having failed to meet your request会比较简洁。
中文信件里面的主语是用“我”。但是一般国外商务信函里面会用we——我们,所以我也改了。收起
