  Please help if you can speak Mandarin?I know that if you want to say, for instance, "I am in my kitchen", you would have to say "wo zai wo de chu fang li"。
   However, sometimes I see sentences like this where the "li" has been omitted。 Is this just a form of abbreviation, like leaving out "shi" (to be)?。

i don't think up the guy stair is being helpful,lol "wo zai wo de chu fang li" is a word by word translation for "I am in my kitchen", but most of time, people would just say "wo zai wo de chu fang" in short or even simply replying "zai chu fang" by omitting "wo de" It is not so easy to define what kind of abbreviation will be made, because it depends on different occasions。
