At age 15, Angus joined News Limited as a copyboy and later became the last of the Telegraph Mirror cadets with his final year spent as Music Editor of the Daily Telegraph。
In 1998, Angus was appointed to the role of Features Editor at GQ Australia graduating to Editor in August of 1999 where he interviewed stars such as Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger, Geoffrey Rush, Dennis Hopper, Orlando Bloom and Baz Luhrmann。
In 2000 a freelance career saw him published in The Australian Magazine,Rolling Stone (Australia & US), Cinema Papers, Inside Sport, Juice, British GQ, Details (US), Australian Style, Elle, The Face (UK),Sunday Life and FHM (UK), as well as numerous other periodicals in Australia and abroad。
In 2001, Angus began contributing in-depth features to HQMagazine, a portfolio which in 2002 won him the MPA’s Feature Writer of the Year award。
In April 2003, Angus became Editor of Australia's leading men's title, Ralph, while continuing to interview Hollywood glitterati and contribute monthly columns and features for Cosmopolitan and Australian Gourmet Traveller。
From May 2004 he was Editor-at-Large for ACP’s Men’s Lifestyle titles, where he was an editor, writer and regular on Mornings With Kerri-Ann。
Currently Angus is an in-demand MC, magazine and TV freelancer who regularly contributes to The Australian, The Bulletin, Sunday Life, Rolling Stone, Men's Style, Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Madison and Spin (UK) and the reigning Australian Sports Commission prize winner for Best Profile of an Athlete or Team。
In 2006, Angus wrote and hosted a behind-the-scenes travel series, Five Star Insider, which was aired globally in March 2007 by the Discovery Channel。
