整个地势大体上由东北向西南倾斜。境内最高点在东部靠近俄亥俄州边界附近,海拔392米;最低点在沃巴什河与俄亥俄河汇合处,海拔95米。沃巴什河、俄亥俄河以及白河的东西两个支流顺势而下,构成密西西比河流域的一部分。
