Its origin can be grouped into 2 legends

The first one is the legend of Jesus's Last Dinner。
It is said that the 13th disciple who attended the dinner party was Judas---the one who betrayed Jesus to the Judah Authority barely for 30 silver coins, which led to Jesus's suffering from torment。
13,being the number of people who attended the Last Dinner and the date of it,has been considered as a symbol of misfortune from then on。
Now 13 is the synonym of betrayal。
The second legend comes from ancient Greek myth:12 gods attended a banquet held by Khafra。
Half in the banquet,an uninvited guest-----Loki suddenly rushed in。And it was his intrusion that was the cause of death of gods' well-beloved Palta。
