   幸运的是,当暴风雪到来之时,他已离开了山顶。(left是非延续性动词) 3。当主句描述的状态直到从句提供的时间才发生时,可用until也可用before。有两种情况: A)表示未来事件发生的时间有多长 It was three day until/before the letter arrived。
   三天后我才收到信。 B）主句是否定句时 I didn't think I'd like skiing until/before I tried it。 我觉得我是在尝试了滑雪后才喜欢上它的。
   4。如果主句的动作恰好是从句的动作的结果时,只能用until He cleaned his shoes until they shone。 他把皮鞋擦到发亮为止。("亮"是"擦"的结果") 5。
  需要说明的是,当主句为肯定句,动作又是延续性动词时,两个连词有时都可使用,但意思有区别。 He used to live with us until he moved to Londow。 在他搬到伦敦前,一直与我们住在一起。
  (直到他搬到伦敦,我们才分开) He used to live with us before he moved to Londow。 在他搬到伦敦前,我们曾经在一起住过。 再看一个例子: He stayed in the tent _________ the fog cleared。
   Only then was he able to go on。 如果没有后半句,填until或before都行,但是由于作者要表达"一直到。。。。。时候"这个概念,所以只能选until。 "他呆在帐蓬里,直到大都散尽。
