    与美国男孩的坦率爱现完全相反，弗兰科就连性格都像姑娘似地扭扭捏捏。 弗兰科最为众人所知的角色，应该是《蜘蛛侠》中彼得·帕克最好的朋友哈利·奥斯本。弗兰科试镜时当然是冲着“蜘蛛侠”去的，失之交臂后却仍然被导演山姆·雷米委以重任，那个一直活在父亲死亡阴影下、备受煎熬的苍白男孩让弗兰科明白，即使手中不握着那根蜘蛛丝，同样可以爬得很高。
     虽然在好莱坞拍商业大片忙着赚钱，詹姆斯·弗兰科却从没忘记自己最喜欢的独立制作，参演罗伯特·奥特曼执导的《芭蕾人生》(The Company)就源于他的一种情结，而非兴趣。
  继2005年在《大偷袭》(The Great Raid)中与本杰明·布拉特结伴走上二战战场后，他于2006年在《安纳波利斯》(Annapolis)和《飞行男孩》(Flyboys)中再次参军……然后，他会回到中世纪与未来的英格兰王妃来一场不伦之恋--《崔斯坦和依索德》(Tristan & Isolde)。
    这还不算什么，未来，弗兰科还有八部新片等待着轮番轰炸院线，除了其中两部仍然在拍摄中，其余已经全部封镜，包括《蜘蛛侠3》在内。届时，弗兰科自编自导自演的第三部作品《马克斯的好日子》(Good Time Max)也将与广大影迷见面，希望不再是那种有得看没得懂的“个性化作品”。
