距国外网站上说,美国60年代洛山基市有一家精神病院的绰号就叫"加洲旅馆" ,老鹰在这首歌里描写的是一个病人进入精神病院的情景,所有的迷幻都是自己的内心的感受的投射。
另,Hotel California”是一个真实的旅馆，它坐落在加州的BAJA,在圣塔爸爸拉（Santa Barbara）附近Cabo San Lucas到La Paz之间的海滨高速公路上。
其实这个没有什么准确的含义,每个人听的感觉都不同,我觉得是表达一种颓废,可能是他吸毒后飘飘欲仙的感觉,当时这首歌因为太过于颓废,在美国也不太受欢迎
